Our Grade II listed building is one of the first recorded buildings in Daventry that was offering various produce to the then village. With documents dating back to the early 1600s, shoemakers once produced footwear for the locals from within our four walls.
In 1952, Daventry Academy, a dissenting academy, moved in, offering pupils a safe place to study. One particular student is well known to this day. Joseph Priestley (1736 - 1804), was an English chemist, natural philosopher, separatist theologian, grammarian, multi-subject educator, and liberal political theorist who published over 150 works. He has historically been credited with the independent discovery of oxygen in 1774. Joseph Priestley matriculated at Daventry Academy the same year it opened their doors.
We have created a comfortable and modern practice environment, using modern ocular technology to elevate the patient experience.
